Internet Users (per 100 people) between 1990-2013

This map displays the number of Internet users (per 100 people) for countries around the world. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, we see a burst of users in North American and European nations, Australia, Korea, and Japan. Over the time period shown, these areas become increasingly saturated. By 2013, we can see that several areas in Africa and Asia do not yet have the same level of Internet use as other parts of the world.
